  • Sandia Peak Tram up and running again after months of repairs and upgrades. The aerial tram is one of the state’s largest tourist draws and runs passengers up the mountain. The upgrades include new control systems and the replacement of the old drive with a new AC motor. Other improvements include adding cameras to the system and weather stations on each of the two towers.

  • Singapore Cable Car (SCC) gets 7 upgraded SkyOrb cabins for 50th anniversary.  The SkyOrbs have been in the discussion and design for five years and are the world’s first chrome-finished spherical cable car cabins. The new cabins have glass bottoms and a front-facing portal window to add to the rider experience, and the reflective chrome exterior and rings of light add dimension to the skyline. The new cabins are SCC’s fifth generation cabins and have joined the previous 67 cable car cabins on the Mount Faber Line.
